We spent a truly amazing afternoon with Michelle Turner, one of our certified Caregivers, who is a trained Anat Baniel Method Practitioner. ABM is a specialized form of movement therapy based on the pioneering work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais which helps people of all ages overcome pain and physical limitation through a series of gentle movements that help the brain develop new patterns for facilitating physical activity. Michelle works extensively with special needs children and during our visit we had the opportunity to watch her treat a beautiful 20-month old boy named Christian, who sustained a brain injury from a near-drowning at 11 months old. The videos above show how simple the technique is -- yet the results have been pretty significant for Christian, according to his mom who has a great blog about her son's progress. Michelle offers a free well baby checkup and lots of information on her website http://www.movementlesson.com/. She's also offering a free introductory lesson at the Phoenix Free Children's Clinic on June 20. Call 602.909.2565 to make a reservation.

I was on AM AZ with Tonya Mock
Here are her 5 essential tips to reduce stress that your viewers need to know…
1. Relax your hands - Relaxing your hands is one of the best things that you can do for your heart! Stress, issues with balance and learned behaviors leave your hands in a fixed position.
2. Drop your shoulders - Having a cell phone in our ear for hours at a time tends to rise your shoulders up and we forget to bring them back down. Carrying your shoulders around is equivalent to carrying a backpack around with us for hours.
3. Reduce the tension in your face - Not only does this age your face but it ages your heart. The face is an obvious place to look to see how your body's doing. Taking a few minutes out of your day to notice tension and fatigue helps the rest of your body realize the same.
4. Move with awareness - We get the kids to school, go to work, pay the bills, shop and fix dinner. The week is gone before we know it. Take a moment to pay attention to yourself, whether driving in the car or shopping at the supermarket, notice how you are moving, breathing even thinking. Take a step back and notice yourself. Is there something that you could be doing that is better or different?
5. Work your feet - After we learn to walk and run, we do nothing to improve our most important part of our body, our feet. Poor and unhealthy feet are a reflection of your heart. If you can't move or balance yourself to get around. Taking a few minutes out of the end of your day to work your feet and enhancing movement - not only helps you sleep but get around better tomorrow.

Michelle Turner of Movement Lesson is the expert when it comes to shot regression. After her son Graham received a vaccine at the age of 13 months, he immediately went from a child developmentally on track, to years of delays in speech, sight and muscle tone. Here are the key signs of what she says parents must look for:
5 Key Signs of Regression from Vaccines
What parents should look for that their child may be at risk for a potential problem…
1. Non-responsive - A healthy child starts to look if you say 'Where's Daddy? Where's the ball?" Suddenly you find yourself repeating it or saying it louder. Needing to touch or prompt your child to get their attention.
2. Staring - Babies and toddlers work the room. You don't loose a child into a good TV show until they're a few years older. If they seem like they're zoning out or loosing track of what they are doing or obsessing over one item for a length of time.
3. Sensory & Touch - Babies and toddlers like to explore there environment. If they once enjoyed food & getting messy now the suddenly have fear of smells, messes, touch and/or sounds.
4. Fear - Does your child suddenly have fears? Does the child suddenly cling to a parent or have separation anxiety? Lost a sense of calm or peace that they previously had?
5. Slouching - babies and toddlers with a healthy nervous system don't slouch. Your child might suddenly seem heavy to pick up or carry around. They're not 'laid back' or easy going.
Young children should be curious about the world around them. The trauma from vaccine reaction can be so severe to a child’s central nervous system that without intervention can lead to diagnoses of autism and developmental delay. Michelle M. Turner uses her personal experience with her professional training to help children avoid the same route that her son had to take. Through a series of gentle, enjoyable movements, your child will display noticeable improvements in motion and awareness of his or her body. A Movement Lesson will increase mobility and improve cognitive functions and communication skills.
